March 2026 — Air Surf Inc. launched a pilot demonstration of a distributed energy system combining small wind and solar power in collaboration with local governments. We will verify mechanisms in daily life that are resilient to power outages during disasters and reduce electricity purchases from power companies during normal times.
Background
Across Japan, cases of prolonged power outages during disasters are increasing. On the other hand, during normal times, reducing CO₂ emissions and lowering electricity costs are also required—to meet the voices of local governments and facilities, we have designed forms of energy that “never stop even in emergencies, every day.”

Expected Effects
- Peacetime: 30~40% of the facility’s annual electricity consumption is covered by renewable energy
- In case of disaster: Maintain major equipment (medical equipment, communications, refrigeration, lighting) for more than 72 hours with autonomous operation
- SDGs Reporting: Enabling aggregation of CO₂ reduction performance by municipality at the device level
Future Developments
Based on the results of this pilot, we plan to expand it to schools, welfare facilities, evacuation centers, and more. We welcome inquiries from local governments and facility operators who want to introduce this in their own towns.
